About C.I.A.
As members of the Massachusetts Council of Construction Employers,
(MCCE), we meet for the purpose of pursuing common goals in labor relations,
in an effort to improve our position as Employers of Union Labor.
In addition, the MCCE files legislation for and on behalf of its members
and the industry as a whole when it is deemed appropriate to do so.
Aims and Objectives
To make membership in this Association a reasonable assurance to the
public of the skill, honesty and responsibility of its members by requiring
that those admitted to membership shall have established an honorable
reputation in the three fundamental points just named, making continuance
in membership to depend upon fair dealing between members and between
members and the public.
To establish a body of recognized authority to actively promote and
pursue all matters of interest associated with the Construction Industry.
To conduct, and/or coordinate labor relations activities on its own
initiative and/or when so requested by representatives of any Construction
Industry Trade Association.
To negotiate and execute collective bargaining agreements for or on behalf
of, those members who designate the Association as their collective bargaining
agent.
Liasons With Other Associations
In our efforts to accomplish our many goals, we are working together
with the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts, the
Building Trades Employers Association of Boston and Eastern Massachusetts,
AGC of Rhode Island, Construction Industries Assn., Eastern Contractors Assn. Inc.
and other Trade Associations.
Constant personal contact with these Associations and their representatives provides an invaluable
means of looking out for and the promoting of the interests of our members,
and other industry matters pertinent to Western Massachusetts.
